Newer Purview capability — implemented as it actually ships
DSPM for AI
Last reviewed
Ghani Governance implements Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management for AI only as far as the tenant can actually do it: prerequisites, justified assessments, and the DLP, labelling, or Communication Compliance work those recommendations often point to. We do not pretend the product is mature in every tenant.

DSPM for AI with the controls you actually have
Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI is a newer capability for seeing how AI apps and agents interact with your data — insights, recommended policies, and oversharing risk around Copilot and other generative AI. It is not a finished “AI security product” you switch on once. Microsoft has also been consolidating the classic DSPM for AI experience into a broader DSPM surface; names in the portal move.
Ghani Governance implements what your tenant can actually do: prerequisites, the assessments and one-click policies that are justified, and the data loss prevention (DLP), labelling, or Communication Compliance work those recommendations often depend on. We do not invent case studies. Product references: Microsoft’s DSPM for AI (classic) documentation and the current Data Security Posture Management overview.
DSPM for AI configuration we deliver
Scope cards below are first-party delivery detail: readiness in your tenant, assessments worth running, justified policies, dependent DLP/label/Communication Compliance workstreams, and operating notes. Product behaviour is documented in Microsoft’s DSPM for AI (classic) documentation and the Data Security Posture Management overview.
Honest readiness
Licensing, audit, portal experience in your tenant, and whether classic DSPM for AI or the newer DSPM surface is what you actually see.
Insights and assessments
Which reports and data-risk assessments are worth running, and what they cannot tell you yet.
Justified policies
One-click or recommended policies only where the scenario is real — not every recommendation because it is on the overview page.
Dependent workstreams
Labels, DLP and Communication Compliance that DSPM recommendations often assume already exist.
Operating notes
Who reads the reports, how often, and what a finding becomes as a change — written so the dashboard is not abandoned.

How we implement DSPM for AI
Implementation follows seeing the tenant, scoping AI apps in play, configuring justified assessments or policies, connecting dependent controls, then handover as Microsoft moves the portal surface. Steps below are our method; Microsoft Learn pages cited above are the product baseline.
See the tenant
What the portal offers today, licences, and related policies already on.
Scope
Which AI apps and data stores are actually in play — Copilot, agents, third-party, or none yet.
Configure
Prerequisites and the assessments or policies that match that scope.
Connect
DLP, labels or Communication Compliance where a finding is really a missing control.
Hand over
How to read the reports as Microsoft moves the surface.
DSPM for AI questions
Is DSPM for AI the same as Copilot?
No. Copilot is an AI experience. DSPM for AI is a Purview capability for seeing and reducing sensitive-data risk around AI apps and agents — including Copilot where you use it. We implement the Purview side, not Copilot as a product.
How new is this?
It is newer than DLP or labels. Microsoft has already moved the portal surface (classic DSPM for AI toward a broader Data Security Posture Management experience). We implement what is actually available in your tenant, and we will say when a brochure feature is not there yet.
Do you have DSPM for AI case studies?
No published case studies. We do not invent client stories. If we have delivered this for you, it still will not appear here as a named logo without your agreement — and none are listed today.
