Editorial policy
Published
This page explains how the articles and service pages on ghanigovernance.co.uk are researched, cited, reviewed and corrected.
Who writes and reviews the content
Pages are written or reviewed by Salman A Ghani, founder of Ghani Governance, Microsoft Purview consultant and privacy counsel. The name in each author block is the person accountable for that page.
How we research and cite
- Product facts about Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 are checked against Microsoft’s own documentation on Microsoft Learn and linked from the page where the claim is made.
- UK law and regulation are cited to primary or official sources, such as legislation.gov.uk, the ICO and GOV.UK.
- Articles published from 19 October 2026 list their sources and the date they were checked. Earlier pages are being reviewed against this policy, and citations are added as they are reviewed. Product behaviour changes, so check Microsoft’s current documentation before you configure anything.
- We do not invent statistics, quotes, case studies, client names, awards or credentials. Where we give an opinion or a design practice of our own, the page says so.
- Past employers are not clients. Where the site mentions organisations Salman has worked for, they are described as past roles, not as Ghani Governance clients.
- Prices are indicative planning ranges, not quotes, and are labelled as such.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting, link checking and testing pages. AI tools are not authors. Every factual claim is checked against its cited source. Salman approves each page, including its title and headings, before it is published.
Dates and updates
Articles show the date they were published. Service and policy pages show when they were last reviewed. When we make a material change to the substance of a page, we update the date shown and the date in the page’s structured data.
Corrections
If you think something on this site is wrong or out of date, email hello@ghanigovernance.co.uk with the page address and what needs correcting. We review every correction request. If a correction changes the substance of a page, we update the page and its date.
